Basil Al Kilani / Manager - Training and Quality
Basil Al Kilani leads the Training team to the forefront by
utilizing his planning skills and expertise in business process. He
carries the major role of planning, leading and implementing training
strategies for the department.
He joined Dubai Trade in October 2007 as a Training Manager with
the purpose of optimizing training strategies as well as refining the
department to achieve efficient results and customer satisfaction.
Being a results-driven leader, a well versed in business
operations in addition to having an active, participatory training
style, Basil clearly stands out as a dynamic professional in Dubai’s

Alaa plays a very vital role in Planning, Developing and
Delivering Training session in different topics i.e. DPWorld, Dubai
Customs, JAFZA E-Services in addition to the region’s unique course CTLP
Alaa has also contributed in the delivery on many projects in
Dubai Trade i.e. Declaration Assistant Wizard, INCOTERMS Assistant
Wizard, and many others.
In addition to his role in Dubai, Alaa is the CILT’s Young
Professional Ambassador in MENA Region. The role is key in connecting
local Young Professionals with the rest of the CILT family.

Samir is a highly accomplished and dedicated professional
offering over 8 years of experience in Shipping & Logistics. He
plays an important role in Planning, Developing and delivering Training
Sessions in different topics i.e: DP World, Dubai Customs and JAFZA
e-Services in addition to the regions unique course CTLP.
In addition he also holds a membership of CILT – UAE representing Young Professionals in the region.

Leading Dubai Trade to become the innovative trade and supply
chain e-hub of the world, Mahmood Al Bastaki has played a vital role in
the advancement of e-business in the region.
An expert in e-commerce solutions, Al Bastaki served as the
Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Dubai World Corporate Departments
before taking up his current position as the CEO of Dubai Trade.
He was appointed as an Advisor for the Dubai Expo 2020 bid team,
a member of The UAE National Committee of World Trade Organisation, and
Chairman of Customs & Trade Facilitation Commission - International
Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – UAE Chapter.
Al Bastaki is also the Advisory Board Member in the “National
Association of Freight and Logistics - NAFL” and a Member of the
External Advisory Council at the University of Wollongong.
